When I first heard about this book, I was very excited. “The History & Mystery of Dinosaurs and Man” sounded intriguing. Although I have heard evidence here and there of man and dinosaurs co-existing, I hadn’t seen anything like this book before.
Written by Dave Woetzel, Chronicles of Dinosauria is a compilation of evidence from the fossil record, historical accounts, artistic documentation, cryptozoology, and the Bible. It is organized in an easy to follow manner with beautiful illustrations by Richard Dobbs and amazing photographic evidence of these awe-inspiring beasts.
Beginning with the creation of the dinosaurs recorded by the Bible on a literal “day five” of the creation event, Woetzel explains that a Bible-believing Christian would expect and predict evidence of man dwelling with dinos. He addresses the world-wide flood, its abatement, and the following Ice Age. Fascinating and challenging to the idea that the earth is millions of years old, this information makes perfect sense when compared with the somewhat (in my opinion) nonsensical Theory of Evolution.
He then addresses the hard evidence of the fossil record. Human artifacts found with dinosaur remains and unfossilized dinosaur bones provide facts that cannot be ignored. I had already been aware of the red blood cells and stretchy blood vessels found within T-Rex bones (no thanks to public education), but I had not heard about the massive boneyard discovered in Alaska with thousands of unfossilized dinosaur bones, some with tendons still attached.
After this, Woetzel takes the reader on a journey through recorded history and artistic discoveries to examine the vast amount of information recorded by eyewitnesses of dinosaur activity. Woetzel’s presentation is truly eye-opening.
And if that were not enough, he shares with us his personal travels throughout the world to speak with remote tribes who frequently observe modern day pterosaurs as well as other suspected dinosaur sightings. Woetzel also shares with us his own personal sighting of the Ogopogo phenomenon at Lake Okanagan. The idea that many dinosaurs could still be alive today may sound fantastic at first, but when the evidence of current dinosaur activity is examined, it is difficult to deny.
Lastly, Woetzel presents the biblical evidence of dinosaurs. Although I have read the Bible many times and knew of at least three references to dinosaur-like creatures, Woetzel enlightened me to passages of which I was surprisingly unaware. Due to translation issues, the additional presence of dinosaurs in the Bible is easy to pass over. I was particularly grateful for this chapter.
All-in-all, I wholeheartedly agree with Woetzel’s statement in his conclusion: “This evidence forcefully and clearly contradicts the evolutionary time scale and threatens the credibility of Darwinists who have stated unequivocally that men and dinosaurs never coexisted.”

Richard,
Thank you so much for leaving a comment. I’m so impressed with your gorgeous illustrations in this book. I can’t wait until my son is old enough to fully appreciate them as well (he’s six months old right now). And thank you so much for the updated information about the second edition! I really appreciate that.
I pray your Christmas season is also wonderful and overflowing with the revelation of God’s grace and love towards us in Jesus Christ.
